Second Birth: Cutting the Emotional Umbilical Cord

In the dark workshop of the soul, where the light of the Heavenly Father still shines only faintly through the clouds of modern emasculation and feminization, many of you stand – bullied, emasculated, spiritually suffocated. You feel the deadly embrace of the Death Mother, that collective force which has robbed you of the dignity of your own sex, the strength of the Animus, the depth of the Anima. You want to live again. You want to breathe spiritually again. And yet you know: the path there is hard. It is not a gentle healing, but a second birth – painful, bloody, mercilessly true.

The Nigredo exists precisely for you: for the emasculated who want to become men again in the image of the Heavenly Father; for the women who wish to free their feminine soul from the grip of the Death Mother; for all who no longer wish to suffocate in the collective neurosis of a fatherless, mother-dominated age.

All Carry a Mother Complex – Because All Were Born of a Mother

Every human being carries a mother complex within, for every one of us was born of a mother. The first gate of life is the gate of the Mother – the gate of conception, birth, and early nourishment. It is holy and necessary. Yet many remain trapped within it. The Death Mother distorts this first gate into a deadly embrace that does not release the child, but holds it in eternal dependence. Only few endure the second birth in life. The breath of the Father breathes the second life into us. The first gate is the gate of the Mother’s life; the second gate is the gate of the Father – the gate of dying and of true resurrection. Only few experience this birth through the Father.

The Deadly Embrace of the Death Mother

The Death Mother feeds on your weakness. She whispers through bullying, through ideologies of enforced equality, through a culture that demonizes the strong father and deifies the eternal child. Under her influence man is emasculated – robbed of his natural power of leadership, of protection, of clear boundaries. Woman loses her spiritual depth, her receptive beauty, her capacity for true self-giving. Both no longer breathe freely, but in the stifling air of dependence.

The Hard Truth of the Second Birth

Liberation is not a gentle therapy. It is like a second birth. You yourselves must cut the emotional umbilical cord. No one can do it for you – neither a therapist, nor a guru, nor I as a companion in the spirit. I can only show you where this cord lies: in the invisible threads of guilt, of fear of rejection, of the addiction to confirmation by the Death Mother and her representatives in society, media, and family. It holds you fast in the position of the eternal child – emasculated, dishonored, spiritually breathless.

This cutting hurts. It feels like death. Yet precisely therein lies the Christian hope: Whoever dies in Christ shall live. The Nigredo, the black phase of alchemical transformation, is exactly this painful moment of the death of the old, poisoned self.

Where the Umbilical Cord Lies – and How It Is Cut

The emotional umbilical cord reveals itself in concrete patterns:

In the inner voice that says: “You must not be strong, must not lead, must not set boundaries.”
In the fear of being condemned as “toxic” when you live your natural polarity of man and woman.
In the dependence on external approval instead of inner alignment with the Heavenly Father.

In the Monastery of Nigredo we learn to recognize these threads and to cut them ourselves with the sword of truth, the courage of reason, and the fire of love for the Good, the True, and the Beautiful. Through prayer, contemplation, symbolic work, and the return to Christian mysticism the soul is purified. Here emasculation becomes true masculinity in the spirit of Christ; spiritual suffocation becomes deep, free breathing in the presence of God.

The Return to the Symbolic Father

Beyond the cut umbilical cord waits not emptiness, but the Heavenly Father. He calls you back into your soul’s completeness – man to paternal strength and protective love, woman to maternal depth and receptive beauty. In this holy polarity, in the union of Animus and Anima, true love arises as union and wholeness. Healthy families with father and mother once again become the image of divine order.

The Death Mother loses her power as soon as the light of the Father shines within you. Then from the black Nigredo the rubedo is born – the red phase of completed, living love.

Be Courageous – The Second Birth Is Possible

Brothers and Sisters, take courage for the second birth! So that the soul may breathe again and the dignity of your sex may shine once more. The freedom that is not slavery, but participation in the divine order, stands open before you.

The second birth hurts, yet it leads into life. In Christ is the true resurrection – not as an empty slogan, but as living union with the Father who loves you and calls you to fullness.
